The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place, a free standing substance abuse treatment center is currently recruiting for an Associate Medical Director. 

 

The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place, located in Historic Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, is a nationally recognized leader in treating adult alcohol and drug addiction. Our specialty niche is addicted professionals with career disruption and reentry issues.We have experience working with Physician Health Programs, Caring Dental Programs, Impaired Nursing Organizations and Pharmacy Recovery Networks.

 

The Farley Center is a partial day hospital program designed for professionals and other high-functioning individuals who have primary substance use disorders, which require intensive, in-depth psychotherapeutic intervention, safe detoxification, as well as educational and experiential approaches to assist in recovery. Patients participate in daily small group therapy and are given assignments geared to their individual needs.

 

This position will be responsible for the overall quality of patient care, including medical detoxification and on-going patient medical management. Provides leadership to the organized professional staff, and establishes appropriate clinical standards of care for the facility. Must have a Valid VA Medical License to practice as a psychiatrist.

Case manages 8-9 patients in a free standing residential partial hospital level  substance abuse treatment facility; provides individual, family and group psychotherapy, aftercare planning and coordination of treatment for patients.   Must be Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Clinical Social Worker, a Professional Counselor or a Marriage and Family Therapist.  Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor desired.  

 

Must be able to work in an intense environment as a member of a highly functioning depth oriented professional team. Computer and organizational skills a must.   Must be able to communicate effectively and to provide educational lectures on topics related to addiction and psychology.  Knowledge of 12 step program necessary.  Must work 1 Saturday a month.   Salary commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefits package.
