Our Family Program Works
As part of our quality assurance and our commitment to quality care we asked our Family Program participants and want to take this opportunity to share with you the following:
Over 200 Family Program participants reported that they learned a great deal during Family Recovery Program at Williamsburg Place/William J. Farley Center. The top 4 most meaningful things that they learned were:
- Value of communication
- Addiction is a disease
- They need to take better care of themselves
- The whole family needs recovery
These same 200 during the process they were able to evaluate and identify their most frequently used enabling behaviors. These included but were not limited to:
- Caretaking
- Protecting
- Silence
- Avoiding
- Ignoring the problem
90% of the respondents found the program above average or superior.
91% of the respondents found the material provided was very helpful.
94% of the respondents felt heard, many for the first time and felt that their questions were answered.
Of those who participated in the Friday session with our physicians, the majority felt it to be extremely informative.
